Burger and Sweet potato fries.

Welcome back to the Busy Student Kitchen Blog!

This meal is one of my all-time favourites. Sweet potato fries are healthy and so easy to make. You could always use normal potato’s instead if you’re not a fan of sweet potato, but I heavily recommend trying them as they are so tasty!

For the burger you can use beef, chicken, or a veggie burger, whatever your preference is, or you can constantly switch it up!

Eating healthy and nutritionally at university can easily be pushed to the side for convenient meals, however with this meal you get the best of both worlds.

Utensils.

To cook this meal, you will need a knife, chopping board and a tray for the oven. Remember to get creative and make use of what you have.

Your burger will usually have cooking instructions on the packet, so be sure to check the recommended cooking time and temperature on your packet. You can also fry burgers however, since our sweet potato fries will be going in the oven, it makes sense to have our burgers in there to reduce clean-up.

Let’s get into it!

Step 1: Cut your sweet potato into small wedge sized chunks. Pop them onto your tray and lightly cover in oil and salt. You can miss the oil and salt out if you are wanting to be extra healthy!

Step 2: Pop your sweet potato fries into the oven at around 210 degrees for 30 minutes, and then be sure to add in your burger at the recommended time alongside your fries.

Step 3: Get your burger bun at the ready, you can add cheese, salad, sauce, or anything else. It’s your burger, so get creative!

Step 4: Take your fries and burger out the oven, plate up and enjoy.

I hope this process was easy and you loved it as much as I do!
