Sausage Tomato Pasta
Welcome back to the Busy Student Kitchen Blog!
This recipe is one of my all-time favourites as it has such little ingredients involved, meaning less clean up! I love a pasta dish as, if I have any leftovers, I usually take them to university for lunch, saving me time the next day.
This recipe is very versatile as you can switch up the sausages for chicken, meatballs or even turn it into a vegetable-based meal. You can also add anything you want to it to give that extra flavour or bulk it out.
Okay, let’s start cooking.
Step 1: Put your sausages in the oven at 200 degrees for around 22 minutes or until golden brown. You should turn your sausages at least once to ensure that they are fully cooked. You can also fry your sausages for 15-20 minutes if you would rather.
Step 2: Once the sausages have 15 minutes left, it’s time to put your pasta in a pot and bring the water to the boil.
Step 3: Once your pasta is cooked, drain MOST of the pasta water, but leave a small amount in the bottom of the pot. Then add the tomato purée and mix until it thickens.
Step 4: Take your sausages out the oven and cut them into small bite sized pieces and add to your pasta.
Step 5: Finally, you can either add your cheese while it is in the pan to allow it to melt, or plate your meal then sprinkle on top.
Remember you can adapt this recipe every time you make it and to always cook something new!

Sounds amazing, can’t wait to try this delight!
